  • Multi-day homams, rituals, and yagas from 7th to 11th September.

  • Final day (11th Sept): Maha Purnahuti, temple kumbabishekam (Vinayagar at 7:30 am, Perumal at 9–10 am, Shiva/Amman at 10:30–11:30 am).

  • Evening: Divine wedding ceremonies (Thirukkalyanam) and processions.

• Background:

  • Sithamalli temples date back nearly 1,000 years (linked to Kulasekara Pandyan and Pandavas).

  • Rich sthala puranam: sacred wells, solar alignment (rays on lingam during Masi), saints like Thirumoolar and Siddhars associated.

  • Rediscovered/renovated murthis of Perumal and Thayar in the 20th century.
