The rescued cattle have now been housed in the  Sri Gokula Krishna Goshala with registration number 197/2016 under Sri Krishnaamrutham public charitable trust. The Goshala now provides shelter close to 182 cows including calves, bulls and buffalos.

Help rescue 2 desi cows and a bull, all of the native Indian breed, from slaughter. The pictures of the cows and bull are attached here.


The Gurukataksham trust is working on an innovative model of rescuing cows and bulls from slaughter and housing them in farmhouses.  The farmhouses provide a safe home for the cows, which are taken care of for their lifetime. The trustees of this trust ensure complete transparency to the donors.

About Gurukataksham Trust

The Gurukataksham Trust, established and run by well-minded individuals, exists to support and sustain Sanathana Dharmic activities as envisaged by His Holiness Jagadguru Sri. Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi (Mahaperiyava). These include:

  • Gho Samrakshanam (Rescue of cows)
  • Renovation of dilapidated temples
  • Veda Samrakshanam (Protection of Vedas)
  • Apara Karma Support (Supporting death-related karmas)
  • and others

They presently support 3 old temples in Tamil Nadu with a few more in the pipeline.
