A very unique temple that houses the Paduka of Shri. Adhi Shankara Bhagavath Paadal installed by His Holiness Paramacharya Sri. Sri. Chandrashekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal, 68th Acharya of the Moolanmya Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, requires support for Kumbabishekam. The Kumbaishekam is being conducted on March 4, 2022.
The Shri. Adhi Shankara Bhagavath Padaal Padhugai Temple in the town of Walajahpet (near Vellore) in Tamil Nadu, after multiple delays due to COVID is undergoing Kumbabishekam on March 4, 2022.

The kumbhabishekam will be conducted under the holy grace of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal.
In March 1984, all the three Acharyas of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, His Holiness Shri. Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal, His Holiness Shri. Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and His Holiness Shri. Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal camped in the town of Walajahpet in Tamil Nadu.
On 22nd March 1984, the holy trinity of Acharayas of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam installed a Shri Padhuka (in stone) of Shri. Adhi Shankara Bhagavath Paadal.
Ever since this temple has had the Shri Padhuka of Shri Adhi Shankara as the presiding deity. Existing in a modest shed till now the decision to construct a temple for the same along with Kumbabishekam was taken recently by the managing trustees. After seeking the blessings of Peetadipathi of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, His Holiness Shri. Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal in 2019, the balalayam was performed.
The temple which was in a very modest state till last year, has been cleaned (with bushes cleared) and a small shelter was erected for devotees to assemble.
This trust was formed to perform daily rituals, special events and ensure the construction of a temple for the paduka.The members of the trust have recently met His Holiness Shri. Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal in Chennai and sought His blessings regarding the proposal. The Balayam was installed on December 6th 2019 with constructions proceeding in full -swing after the lockdown.
The temple is now ready for the kumbabishekam on March 4th, 2020. Our donors have kindly contributed Rs. 96,926 till date (Feb 27, 2022) which the trust has carefully preserved exclusively for the Vaidika Sambavanai – for which you all kindly donated towards.
