Significance of this cause

In March 1984, all the three Acharyas of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, His Holiness Shri. Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal, His Holiness Shri. Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and His Holiness Shri. Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal camped in the town of Walajahpet in Tamil Nadu.

On 22nd March 1984, the holy trinity of Acharayas of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam installed a Shri Padhuka (in stone) of Shri. Adhi Shankara Bhagavath Paadal.

Ever since this temple has had the Shri Padhuka of Shri Adhi Shankara as the presiding deity. Existing in a modest shed till now the decision to construct a temple for the same along with Kumbabishekam was taken recently by the managing trustees. After seeking the blessings of  Peetadipathi of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, His Holiness  Shri. Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal in 2019, the balalayam was performed.
