Background<\/h4>

Brahmadesam<\/i><\/b>, a small beautiful village surrounded by kadana <\/i>river and many canals, located near the Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu, is one of many villages where we can see Mother Nature\u2019s beauty. At the centre of this village is the ancient beautiful\u00a0 temple, Brihannayagi sametha Kailasanathar temple<\/i><\/b>. Sage Romasa<\/i>, grandson of Lord Brahma came to this temple to worship Kailasanathar in the form of swayambhu Linga \u2014 that\u2019s how the name Brahmadesam <\/i>is derived. Like many other temples in India, this temple too has a big pond, a beautiful tall Gopuram, and lots of elegantly carved statues. One such is the Nandhikeshwarar <\/i>which is carved out of single stone and also a Natarajar<\/i> statue named Punugu sabapathi<\/i> with OM prabha around Him, also carved out of a single stone.\u00a0An astonishing special Lion statue is found in the walls of the temple where there is a round stone inside the mouth of that Lion which can be freely rotated inside the mouth but can\u2019t be taken out of it\u2014what remarkable craftsmanship!\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of the Balasthapana festival for the Rajagopuram and Vimanam in the temple, beginning 27th April 2023, Thursday, funds are required for a variety of activities, totalling over \u20b94 lakhs. We are helping the temple Gurukkal Shri Kumar raise money for the sambhavanai to Shivacharyars during this festival.\u00a0<\/p>
